Last night I participated with actor @JohnDavidWashington in the virtual ceremony: HFPA Philanthropy: Empowering The Next Generation, where over the course of the evening, they handed out 77 grants to various community service, mentoring programs, educational institutions and inner city outreaches.
I was there to highlight the Las Fotos Project, a local Los Angeles organization that empowers young Latinas to find their creative voices through photography.
The good news about these virtual ceremonies is that I don’t have to wear heels, the bad news is I didn’t get to meet John David Washington.
Anoche participé con el actor @JohnDavidWashington en la ceremonia virtual: HFPA Philanthropy: Empowering The Next Generation, donde durante el transcurso de la velada, entregaron 77 becas a varios servicios comunitarios, programas de mentores, instituciones educativas y actividades de extensión de la ciudad.
Estuvimos allí para destacar el Proyecto Las Fotos, una organización local de Los Ángeles que permite a las jóvenes latinas encontrar sus voces creativas a través de la fotografía.
La buena noticia sobre estas ceremonias virtuales es que no tengo que usar tacones, la mala noticia es que no pude conocer a John David Washington.
