Today I’m so excited to announce my role as an ambassador for the groundbreaking @earthshotprize. 🚀🌍

I love this quote by writer @mary.heglar who says ‘The thing about climate is that you can either be overwhelmed by the complexity of the problem or fall in love with the creativity of the solutions.' I have certainly had countless moments of despair, but have come to realise that we must hold on to hope and optimism.

The Earthshot Prize is a new global prize for the environment, spearheaded by Prince William. Over the next crucial decade five £1m prizes will be awarded each year, aiming to provide at least 50 solutions to some of the world’s most pressing environmental problems.

Inspired by John F Kennedy’s ambitious “moonshot” lunar programme, the prize is centred on five major “Earthshots”. These are: Protect and restore nature, Clean our air, Revive our oceans, Build a waste-free world and Fix our climate.

This is a chance to truly inspire and empower the next generation of thinkers, inventors, artists and activists. We all have a role to play. Let’s choose this decade to work together, to repair our planet for generations to come. ✊🏼💫
