My name is Jessica and I’m a volunteer leader with @momsdemand, a grassroots movement of volunteers working to end gun violence across the country. This year on Election Day, I'm excited to join volunteers all around the country to help make sure every voter is able to cast a vote at their polling place through #DemocracyDemandsAction, a program that makes it easy to sign up to be a poll worker, a poll monitor, or a member of a voter support squad. On November 3, I will join a voter support squad to monitor news and social media reports in our community and help keep tabs on polling locations that might need our help. Our support squad will help distribute water, coffee, and snacks as needed so people can stay in line to vote. My favorite part about volunteering at the polls is that it’s something that can unite all of us, so whether it’s your first time voting or your 20th, you can still feel like you’re doing your part to help your community!
