Photo by @geosteinmetz / A fishing boat transits the clear waters of the Quirimbas Islands, Mozambique. This was taken at low tide, the ideal time for fishing on the reefs and sandbars. Most of the large fish here are long gone after decades of overfishing with increasingly finer meshed nets. It’s a beautiful place, but you can’t feed an expanding population with beauty alone.
