Trust me, my family is getting an earful, ha! However, I spent a whole day being quiet on here after the debate, and I’ve decided I do want to say this: I just don’t think we should let the people who are asking for our votes for the highest office in the country get a pass on what happened the other night. Our family watched the entire thing and when it ended, there was total silence in the room for a few minutes. I think we all felt a little depressed, deflated, and the worst d word of them all...disappointed. No matter what has happened in the past, I think we’re always hopeful that our leaders will do better next time, act kinder, more respectful, more unifying, be inspiring. We expect that when leaders address the entire country that even when they are talking about really hard things that they will offer us some hope for a better tomorrow.
