A member of our Zippy's ohana has tested positive for COVID-19. An employee at our Ewa location last worked on Tuesday, September 22. The employee, feeling mild symptoms on Thursday, contacted their doctor, who prescribed a test. By Zippy’s policy, the employee made sure to tell management that they were sent to take a test, and management responded by initiating a proactive deep sanitation of both front and back of house that same night. Test results were received on Friday evening, but the premises had already been deeply cleaned. Our employee is recovering at home and we wish them a full and speedy recovery. As we reopen Oahu for business, we wish to thank all those that wear masks, wash hands, and avoid large gatherings so that we can keep positive cases down and allow all of Oahu’s restaurants to remain open.
