The story behind the release of ten Greater Bilbies to the Wild Deserts rewilding project begins in the Taronga Sanctuary at Dubbo. The 110-hectare sanctuary is home to Taronga’s Greater Bilby conservation breeding program. Here our team commence the first stage of the release – setting traps in the sanctuary to catch first and second-generation Bilbies for assessment for release.
