Recently, I found a route that is quite special like this one captured in the pic. In fact, I have to climb the upper part, about one third of the route, in a different style. The original sequence comprises nine moves from which three are too far for me. I searched high and low for some crimps in between to bypass these big moves. Then, I found my beta: I changed hands on a small crimp from which I jumped onto another crimp. Then I did a „clock“ and continued with the footholds. Doing this as single moves was one thing, adding a couple of moves to it another chapter. Although the beta was likely to end in failure, I had to content myself with this hard alternative to send this eyegrabbing route. To my surprise my eighth attempt ended successfully in a good fight. Anyway, with my beta, I would have to upgrade the route for myself. Climbing is such a special sport - sometimes it might be helpful to be taller or shorter. Over the course every climber finds some routes that suit him or her well. // Goldrausch, 8c

Thanks to @markus.haid for this gem! 👌🏻
