Before I would have posted this first photo.. angle looks great, you can’t really see my hip dips or dimples / cellulite and I definitely would have deleted the others. The “others” show my imperfections.. only perfection is what must be seen on social media right? 🙄 Because we should instill more insecurities in society and in ourselves. What we feed ourselves matter. (Please say that again) 👉🏼 WHAT WE FEED OURSELVES MATTER. A recent poll found that 60 percent of people using social media reported that it has impacted their self-esteem in a negative way. ... They also found that 51 percent say social media has made them feel more self-conscious about their appearance... And this was as of 2 years ago. I can only imagine that those numbers have immensely increased since then. I’ve fallen victim of social media insecurities.. not only with how my body looks or doesn’t look but with comparing my lifestyle and relationships to others. A good reminder for me is to tell myself that social media is highly edited where most people only post their best self / best life. We all go through hard times just as every other human does, even if others don’t highlight it on social media. 😣 Everyone at some point in their lives are faced with “behind-the-scenes” struggles and that I am not alone. Aristotle said that one cannot love others if one does not love oneself. To love oneself in the right way which is not narcissistic one must strive to act nobly. WHAT WE FEED OURSELVES MATTER.. not only for the way we see & feel about ourselves but it also has a domino effect on our life.. feed yourself with love, kindness, compassion and positive affirmation because the unfiltered, unedited, “imperfect” YOU is BEAUTIFUL & PERFECT just the way you are! 🐛🦋」9月24日 1時29分
