Before Maptote, I was a cartographer and worked for a range of environmental, government and engineering companies before Maptote took over! I was actually laid off from my job in 2008 during the recession and in hindsight it was probably one of the best things that happened to me as it allowed me to make the full plunge into Maptote and help make it what it is today. ⁠ ⁠ At Maptote, I mainly do design and art direction as well as support Rachel in the operation of our company. I always have had creative ideas but never took an art class. As I've gotten older I've gone back to my youth for creative ideas and inspiration. Stamps, soccer, skateboarding and the outdoors have always fueled my curiosity.
