I have two new songs that have been ready for release for quite a while but the circumstances of the world have left me feeling very uninspired to participate in self promotion. There have been so many injustices in the world that it felt so wrong to be like “hey everyone, check out my new song!”, and then do the self promotion on social media that comes with a release. It’s been a long process for me to come back to a place of feeling even remotely comfortable again to put stuff out. One thing that I realized along the way, and that has helped me, is that my music usually has an uplifting and inspiring message. So now I’m coming to a place where I see so much negativity everywhere that I want to put something positive into that turbulent climate. Us positive people can’t just fade into the background and allow the negative energy to take over. I think my relationship with social media is forever changed - there are so many undeniably detrimental aspects about it that I want no part of. But that doesn’t mean I will fade away completely. I will always be here to help spread positivity into this world and I will use my music and platforms to do that. The next couple of songs I’m going to put out are some of my favorite I’ve ever made. One will be featured in a movie that comes out in November, and the other was supposed to come out over Pride month and is my personal favorite song I’ve ever made. It also has a very fun music video that I got a lot of my friends to participate in during the initial quarantine months ago. More details on both releases soon. It’s been quite a long musical pause for me but I promise it will be worth the wait. Thanks for always sticking with me and being patient. We are all here together experiencing the ups and downs of life these days but if we collectively support each other, I know we can rise above it all.
