In an exclusive interview featured inside the September issue of Vogue Italia, @マーティン・スコセッシ remembers that May of 1990, when he was returning from Cannes and he decided to stop in Milan for a couple of days to describe friend @GiorgioArmani in a documentary, “Made in Milan”. “Giorgio: I love you and I admire you. Forty years have passed. But I swear to you, it seems just like yesterday to me.” Scorsese remembers them as some of the happiest days in his life: “Seeing Armani at work in his workshop and translating it into cinematographic language, at the exact moment in which his style was revolutionising fashion and when he was dressing the world, represented a moment of joy that I often think about.” Shot in six days, the documentary premiered at the #VeniceFilmFestival a few months later. The film is an entry into the mind of two masters who almost suffer from being masters, shaking with the fear that no one has the courage to show them a way, dare to write a mistake, and mirror each other confidently.
