As a part of @メトロポリタン美術館's 150th anniversary exhibition "Making The Met, 1870-2020", the 'Skeleton' dress is now on view.
This white polyamide dress was fully 3D printed via Selective Laser Sintering nine years ago for our Fall 2011 'Capriole' collection, drawing inspiration from the existential extremes between body and mind experienced during a parachute jump.
The garment evokes the moment of free fall when every fibre of the body feels as though it is growing in all directions and brings to mind a hybrid skeleton, twisting the body and mind inside out.

The 'Skeleton' dress is part of the Metropolitan’s permanent collection and was made in collaboration with architect Isaïe Bloch. Exhibition Dates: August 29, 2020-January 3, 2021.
