Aujourd’hui, focus sur ce manuscrit persan. 🔎 - ✍️ Cette page, peut-être réalisée sous le règne d'Imâm-Quli Khân (1611 - 1642), est le fruit de deux artistes. La figure du jeune homme assis sur la terrasse est signée du peintre Muhammad Charif Musavvir. Les marges, peintes dans un style qu'on a qualifié de "fougueux", sont l'oeuvre de Muhammad Murâd Samarqandi. - 📖 Le livre que tient le jeune homme est de format oblong, sorte de carnet pouvant être mis dans la manche d'un vêtement et servir à noter de la poésie. Sur son vêtement figurent plusieurs couples enlacés, symbole des sentiments qu'il éprouve à l'égard de la jeune princesse qui, à l'origine, lui faisait face. - 🌸 Le décor des marges évoque une scène printanière. En haut à gauche, figure l'oiseau simurgh et, en dessous, un personnage coiffé de feuillages qui représente une péri (fée iranienne) tenant un flacon. The figure of the young man seated on a terrace is signed by the painter Muhammad Sharif Musavvir. The sheet's margins are executed in a spirited style by the painter Muhammad Murad Samarqandi. - 📖 The young man is holding an oblong volume - a type of notebook designed to be carried inside the sleeve of a robe, and used for noting down poetry. The silhouettes decorating his garment include entwined couples, symbolizing his feelings for the young princess facing him in the original binding. - 🌸 The marginal decorations evoke a springtime scene, painted with a lively imaginative touch. A simurgh (a mythical bird) is depicted in the upper left part of the sheet. Below this, the figure wearing a headdress of leaves is a peri (a Persian fairy), holding a small bottle.
