L’inscription nous informe également sur l’âge de cet homme, qui avait alors 33 ans. - ✍️ Dans la collection de Louis XIV, le portrait passait pour être de la main d'Anthonis Mor, mais c'est à un autre peintre actif à Anvers, Martin de Vos, qu'il semble revenir si l'on en juge par les analogies avec les rares portraits conservés de cet artiste, peints dans les années 1560, tels que le « Portrait d'homme » du musée de Düsseldorf, daté de 1564. - - - - 🌎 We wish you all a #GoodWeek! 😊 - ❓ The man on this portrait dating from 1565 is still unknown, despite the monogram painted above the date, which is probably the sign of a merchant.
