They arrived at @fdoccuracao weak and malnourished, but under the veterinary care of my cousin Odette, they were released successfully. During their recovery they had no contact with people (aside from Odette) or other birds, to avoid possible disease spread. But during the ringing process, Bob—a veteran rescue flamingo that couldn't be released back to the wild due to a chronic injury—was there to comfort them.
