Video by @amandamustard I’m flying from Bangkok to Surin (a province in Thailand famous for it’s relationship with elephants since the Ayutthaya period) to learn more about the unique regional challenges elephants are facing due to the pandemic. Domestic travel has resumed in the country as it approaches 100 days without a local COVID-19 transmission, while borders remain closed indefinitely to all international tourists.
