Atagoinari Shrine’s Daisangoku Fireworks

A daisangoku is a traditional handheld firework. 

These fireworks are an essential part of the shrine’s autumn festival, set off during the climax of the event. 

The spectacle of performers walking with lit fireworks in hand, rained upon by countless embers, is truly impressive.

*The 2020 Atagoinari Shrine Autumn Festival is canceled.

秋季例祭のクライマックスを飾り
神社への奉納煙火としても

点火された大三国から噴き出た
大量の火の粉が降り注ぐ中で
氏子がねり歩く姿は
まさに迫力満点の光景です😮
