The day that Eric proposed to me, he bought me a big bunch from the grocery store - I couldn’t figure out why on earth he would get me flowers when we were on vacation in Portland but I was so happy. When he proposed a few hours later I realized why. On our wedding day, I carried a beautiful bouquet of chamomile, and we had little bud vases with a few flowers on every table. I’ve always loved chamomile, and I think a big part of that is how humble of a flower it is. You can buy a big unruly bunch for not a lot of money, and though they’re a bit wild looking, they last for days on end.
