STORY TIME:
Last week, I was in the post office and a random man with his girl friend yells “is that Queen Latifah?” when I walked past.
.
He waited for a reaction of anger, but instead, I kept my shades on, looked him up and down, and continued to sashay to the clerk.
.
Everyone smirked and looked at him like the buttwipe he was. He was so embarrassed, he didn’t know what to do.
.
His funny looking self continued to make his silly remarks w/ his funny looking girlfriend. (Yes the woman was being slick too.)
.
When I was done with the clerk, walked towards the exit, I gave them one more look in disgust and strutted out the office w/o saying a peep.
.
The old me would have roasted them and caused a scene in retaliation. Now I just block folks out as if they don’t exist. 🍂🌬

THAT’S how you get people back while protecting your peace.
You remind them of how powerful you are by revoking the access they need to throw their little insecurities on you.

I’m convinced if you’re a grown man that has energy to insult a grown woman randomly, you are clearly upset w/ God for giving you a little pee wee in the pants.

And for women who like to randomly insult other women, I’m going to assume God didn’t bless you w/ that WAP to give you the confidence you need in life.
