I have spent most of my career trying to fit into everyone else’s idea of who I should be and how I should look. Struggling every season to get “skinny enough” to fit the “ice dancer mold”. Spent years stressing about food and being afraid to enjoy a night out with friends. I’ve been working hard to achieve the body and level of fitness that I feel good about. Last year I’d never have been able to crush multiple 180kilo sled pushes, to bench my body weight or to curl 65 lbs. I’m just starting this journey of shaping myself into the man I want to be, and I know I have a long way to go. Physically, spiritually, mentally.
