#HAPPYBIRTHDAYHALESTORM my band turns 23 today. Me and the guys have lived so many different lifetimes since those beginning years. All of us came from blue collar families, no one we knew had any connections to the biz...so we discovered everything on our own and made our contacts by being the annoying kids bugging record guys to listen to our demos, playing Anywhere and Everywhere Anyone would let us. Malls, Coffee houses, bowling Alleys for free pizza. It wasn’t about the prestige of the gig. It was about Doing it. We showed up, we played our show no matter what the venue or how many people were there, the contacts we made at those early mall/bowling alley/coffee house gigs, eventually got us into playing bars within the next year or so. And from there, opening up for regional and national acts. No matter what, there was Always a Next! The boys and I kept our eyes forward and our feet moving.
