Throwback Thursday: Featuring Lucan

Remember when Lucan was small!!! 14.7 lbs and just 8 weeks old! Now, 17 weeks old and 45lbs!!!

Lucan is our Ambassador Wolf and is very excited to meet our private encounter guests! In fact, we have to warn folks that he will pee on them as he gets so excited to love in people. For a very high content wolf-dog, Lucan’s current temperament is ideal for an Ambassador. His role at the center, aside from being the expert pee boy, is to help educate people on the conservation needs of wolves in the wild. He has two trainers (Melissa and Dave) who work with Lucan on his manners and we have volunteers who are being trained as handlers. We will be offering virtual, on-site and field trips for schools kids this fall to enable them to meet Lucan and his friends at the center. If you are interested in our programs, please let us know! These will be led by Amy, Nicole, Dani, Melissa, and Dave and are age specific.
