Wanted to share a brief minute of this incredible encounter from the other day. We had 3 humpback whales, including a mother and calf, who played with our boat for over 30 minutes. These are the most life changing moments one can get out on the ocean with these giants and it’s so humbling to be recognized by them. The mother would constantly rest and relax right under the boat, only popping up to spray everyone onboard with her blow while the calf and escort whale would roll, twirl, and play nearby. If this year was somewhat normal, I would be leaving for Tonga in a week to swim with the humpbacks, so having this type of interaction was the perfect way to make up for the lost adventure.
