I really didn’t know enough and thought I should learn a bit more. At a time of fighting for equality for black lives because #blacklivesmatter... I was grateful to learn about Rebecca Pierce @aptly_engineerd from a Jewish friend of mine. Rebecca is black and Jewish and the voices of Black Jews just are not being heard. After Nick Cannon and Wiley, both black figures in media, recently have said anti semitic comments on their platforms, Rebecca’s voice is really important in understanding how these two communities intersect. She appears on @brookeonair’s podcast “Controlling Our Narrative” and explains why this kind of narrative upholds white supremacy. I also watched “Global Anti-Semitism” a documentary on Amazon Prime. It touches on the history of some of the tropes of Anti-Jewish rhetoric and how it appears all over the world. This was the only documentary I could find over my streaming services but please let me know your recommendations and where I might watch them. There is no space for hate.
