Happy birthday to #BereniceAbbott, who began her career as a sculptor, moving to Paris in 1921 to study. While there she worked as #ManRay's assistant, mastering darkroom and #photography skills, and became a portrait photographer for artists and writers. Returning to New York in 1929, she switched her focus to photographing the city's changing urban landscape.
