The ridiculous notion that black people don’t drink wine or have spending power has kept opportunities from us. These slides are quotes from two different articles that interviewed black wine professionals. They all resonated with me. The very same intimidation and lack of respect discussed above is what drove me into studying wine. I hated picking up a wine list and feeling confused and out of place. My whole approach now is to provide a delicious and accessible wine experience for all.
