"In 1980, pesto was basically unknown," recalls Johanne Killeen (@johanniejo), a member of the very first class of #FWBNC back in 1988, who arranged for a local Rhode Island farmer to grow a field of basil for her when she first opened her restaurant @alfornorestaurantprovidence. In her linguine recipe, pasta water thins fresh pesto into a sauce that clings to silky ribbons of linguine and slivers of crisp-tender green beans. Recipe linked in our bio. 📷: @taradonnephoto
