Aside from being so talented, he was so kind, and so warm, and so encouraging, and so inclusive. His smile, and laugh, and heart, and hugs were so big and full of life and love, and the world will be a little less brilliant without him in it. I wish I could remember the last time I saw him, but I can’t. I wish the pain his family and friends are feeling right now didn’t have to be, but here we are. I genuinely thought Nick would bounce back from his fight with Covid, and all of its complications, and stand tall on his new prosthetic leg and show the world just how optimistic a person can be when handed such a raw deal, but that fight is now over. For all those that have been praying for Nick and his family, I ask that you would continue to. This is gonna be rocky road for a while, and his friends and family could use all the love and light you can spare right about now. We miss you already, Nicky. Thanks for the gift that you were in our lives. And thank you, now, for the reminder that life is precious, and fragile, and finite, and that we should take every opportunity to love those that are dear to us and cherish the time that we have with them. He was surrounded in love by his family, singing and praying as he gently left this earth. ⠀ I am in disbelief and hurting everywhere. My heart is broken as I cannot imagine our lives without him. Nick was such a bright light. He was everyone’s friend, loved to listen, help and especially talk. He was an incredible actor and musician. He loved his family and loved being a father and husband. Kind, smart, compassionate, assertive and always eager to listen to my crazy ideas or call yet another doctor for me for a second opinion.
