For the last couple weeks I’ve kind of been going round in circles, feeling like I was taking one step forward and 2 steps back- constantly tired, zero motivation, a lot of anxiety and rising fears. I was thinking about the things I’ve been doing that could be affecting my mood, being detrimental to my productivity and just all round making me feel low and I came up with these:   - always on social media - overthinking  - staying up late  - staying around negativity - comparing myself to others - living in the past  - eating unhealthy  - too much alcohol   And when you see them like this, it kinda makes sense. These things are TOXIC and we all know that.   I know we can’t all be perfect all the time, and life is full of ups and downs- and quite frankly after the year everyone has had none of us can be blamed for losing our way a little bit. Weirdly, I think the world beginning to open up again made me scared- you know what I mean?! Like I just got used to one way of life and now we’re expected to rush back to our old ways again and I panicked. I didn’t feel ready so I regressed- buried my head in the sand rather than dealing with how I was feeling.   I actually don’t want to go back to rushing through life, taking things for granted and constantly in pursuit of the next thing- I want a slower pace, I want a life filled with people who are good for my soul and pass times that make me a better person. I don’t want to constantly be stuck in traffic, missing my family or always wanting the next big thing. Isolation has taught me that.  So I suppose what I’m trying to say is, if anyone else is feeling a little overwhelmed or out of their depth, don’t panic- there’s been a lot of change and uncertainty this year and if you didn’t feel slightly apprehensive- you wouldn’t be human. Lockdown has taught us a lot about ourselves- just because the world is beginning to open up again don’t lose those lessons and rush back to old habits that when we really think about it- we want to leave in the past. MOOD.
