A few weeks ago, we bought this little balance bike for Oliver. He can’t walk yet, but sure can crawl. At first glance, he cried at the bike. A few days later, he inched his way towards it and touched it. With a smile on his face, he tipped it over, spun the wheels, and crawled all around it. After a week of watching his whole mind analyze this new device and figuring out how it works, he finally summed up the courage to begin riding it. I'm not quite sure how a baby's mind works, but it's incredibly beautiful to watch him develop and grow. He's got this. I'm letting Oliver do things in his own time.
Motherhood with Oliver is one thousand things all at once. It’s beautiful, chaotic, messy, intuitive, rewarding, scary, exciting, and exhausting, in the same instant. I'm exponentially lucky to be able to experience it all.
