Kids can discover the artistry of nature in a single leaf—and explore their creativity as they learn about the Pan-African Flag.
.
Making leaf rubbings at home is a great way to make records from the beautiful leaves you collect indoors and out. It's also an opportunity to bring out your inner artist. Join NYBG's Arvolyn Hill—Coordinator of Family Programs for the Everett Children's Adventure Garden—to learn about leaf rubbings and the meanings of the colors in the Pan-African Flag, an important symbol for many Black people around the world.
.
Grab your crayons, colored pencils, a piece of paper, and a leaf from your yard or neighborhood, and let's get started.
