When you say, “this is the worst thing a DA has ever done” in reference to charging an officer who shot and killed someone on camera, I can not agree with that hyperbolic sentiment.
And I refer you to the systemic numbers that demonstrate blacks are disproportionately wrongfully charged and convicted. How does that happen? There are DAs that have coerced confessions, manufactured evidence, withheld exculpatory evidence, excluded black jurors on the basis of their race, and there is even a judge who sold black juveniles to a prison in exchange for $1 million in bribes because black lives did not matter to them. So you can disagree with the charging decision but it is not the “most unethical” or “worst” thing a DA has ever done simply because you disagree with the charges that were brought. #sterlingsays #dreyersterling #cochrantx
