The Civil war in Yemen against Saudi Arabia started in 2015. Some of us knew, But again, most of us didn’t even know this was going on. In case you didn’t here you go: In Yemen, a child is dying every 10 minutes. Not only are they faced with this Virus Pandemic (which has made their situation even worse) but they have been facing famine , clean water shortages as well as a Civil War since 2015. 2/3 of Yemeni don’t have access to clean water which has caused an Epidemic. 10 Journalists in Yemen tried to speak up about what is happening there and have been detained by the Huthi de facto authorities since the summer of 2015. They are being prosecuted with spying charges for peacefully exercising their right to freedom of expression. Over the course of their detention the men forcibly disappeared, held in intermittent incommunicado detention, were deprived of access to medical care and at least three of them were subjected to torture. After being held without charge or trial for four years, the first session was held in December 2019 after which the Specialized Criminal Court sentenced four out of the group of ten journalists to death in April 2020 . • Nations such as the United Kingdom and the United States support the Saudi Arabian-led intervention in Yemen primarily through arms sales and technical assistance. France had also made recent military sales to Saudi Arabia. Its hard to know what associations to support and what the truth is in Politics. But i think its important that we help these people. We know they are struggling and @Karmagawa has set up a fundraiser that has already raised $300.000!!! Our Goal is to reach $ 500.000! Which will be going to trusted organizations. Hopefully this can contribute to helping the 80% of the country that is in a Humanitarian crisis.
