At @tarongawesternplainszoo, the drought has taken its toll on a number of our exhibits including the Eland exhibit where the pasture has become almost non-existent.
During the 9 weeks of closure, the incredible maintenance team and keepers worked together to relocate the Eland herd to a behind-the-scenes paddock to allow them to sow new pasture for them to return to. This is an important step in recovery from one of the most severe droughts on record for the region.
