Photo by @babaktafreshi | The iconic Kirkjufell (Church Mountain) in Iceland sits under a colorful aurora display on a March night. The 463-meter-high (1,519-foot-high) mountain in Snaefellsnes Peninsula looks like a little volcano from one side, but it was formed by erosion over millions of years. It was once a glacier island, an exposed peak on a glacier not covered by ice.
