This week @myfussyeater shares part recipe part science experiment with homemade bread rolls made in a bag. Less mess, more fun! - Ingredients -
500g strong white bread flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 sachet fast action yeast
300ml warm water
2 tbsp olive oil - Directions -
1️⃣ Add the flour, salt, sugar and yeast to a large freezer or sandwich bag, mixing the ingredients well with a spoon.
2️⃣ Mix the water and oil together in a jug and pour this into the bag.
3️⃣ Push out the air and seal the bag well.
4️⃣ Knead the mixture for 10 minutes until all the ingredients are really well combined.
5️⃣ Flour a work surface or chopping board and turn the dough out onto it.
6️⃣ Form into a large round ball and then cut into 8 equal size pieces.
7️⃣ Roll each into a small ball and then place on a lined baking tray. Cover with a damp teatowel and leave somewhere warm for 1 hour to prove.
8️⃣ Meanwhile heat the oven to 180c. When the rolls have finished proving and have risen put them into the oven to bake for 15-20 minutes.
9️⃣ Allow to cool for a few minutes and then serve!

Makes 8 bread rolls.
