As is so often the way with Le Mans, it was the overnight stints that transformed the race. Fog combined with even heavier rain to create extremely tough conditions. ​ ​Behind the wheel of McLaren F1 GTR #59, JJ Lehto drove one of the most memorable stints in Le Mans memory. The car was entering chicanes sideways and spinning wheels on the straights, but Lehto just kept getting faster.
