「ORIENTAL HOTELとマリリン・モンロー」

1954年2月1日。
マリリン・モンローは、結婚相手であるNYヤンキースの
ジョー・ディマジオと共に新婚旅行で来日しました。

その際の記者会見で「何を着て寝ているのですか？」
と尋ねる記者に、「シャネルの5番よ。」と
ウィットに富んだ返答をしたのは有名な話ですね。

そんな旅の中、夫妻は2日の間、
神戸の地でORIENTAL HOTELに滞在しています。

現在、ORIENTAL HOTELの17階には
マリリン・モンローのポートレートが。
映画「Showほど素敵な商売はない。」の
プレミアの際の写真です。

Did you know that on the 1st of February 1954,
Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe visited Japan for their honeymoon.
Marilyn Monroe became famous with her wit in her to the question "What do you wear in bed?". The answer "Chanel No. 5".
Joe and Marily are both known to have stayed in the Oriental Hotel, Kobe for a couple of nights.
If you noticed there are a couple of portraits of Miss Monroe on the 17th floor, just as you get off the elevator and head to the dining room.
Both pictures were taken on the Premiere of one of her famous movies "There's No Show Like Show Business".
