I’ve been trying to collect my thoughts and come up with a clear and concise statement that supports and makes clear my feelings at this time. This is a start, but it’s certainly not enough and certainly not the end. This country is broken in a way I couldn’t see when I chose to move here. The deep divides that exist have only been worsened in recent times. We cannot continue like this. There has to be understanding, humility and a willingness to concede that if you are not black you will never truly understand what it means to be black in America. But you can LISTEN and LEARN and CHANGE. We are at a turning point in history. We have to be. I ask people to reach out and help me to be more effectively involved in the change that needs to happen. Yesterday I went to the march in LA and even though it ended in fire and anger it began with togetherness and the spirit of justice for all. When we as a people rise up we can effect change. And we will. Let’s join hands and make this world a better place for all of us. Please. #GeorgeFloyd #BlackLivesMatter
