An alert and nervous herd of topi bunch up and watch a male lion as he walks on by. In parks like the Masai Mara, the density of wildlife is so great that it is extremely common to see predator and prey within close range, even though the former may not actually be interesting in hunting. While this lion had no intention on hunting and was on his way to regroup with the rest of his pride, the topi always have to watch their back as the pride will surely be hungry again soon.
