Even in the Mariana trench – which goes down to the lowest point on earth of 10,890 metres below sea level, plastic microparticles were found in all crustacean. The materials included polyester-reinforced cotton and fibres made of lyocell, rayon, ramie, polyvinyl and polyethylene. Many of these fibres are used to make clothing. Diverse solutions are required to solve this problem. Something we can all do is to think before we buy. Look at what fabric clothes are made from. Buy less.
