Shimoguri no Sato—the Village in the Sky
(Iida City)

Deep in the mountains of southern Nagano is a quiet valley where you can see the idyllic rural scenery of Japan. 

Among its small villages is Shimoguri no Sato. Built upon a steep hillside, Shimoguri no Sato has incredible views of the mountains.

Just as impressive as the villages scenery are its residents, living together with nature in such a steep and remote area of Japan.
