This extraordinary dance play shows you the historical conflict in medieval Japan between the Genji and Heike (Minamoto and Taira) with one of the dance classics “Sanbasō”
It is so much fun to watch even if you don’t know the stories or the details. It’s even more enjoyable if you are familiar with them.
This is a play in which you can fully feel the essence of Kabuki!
In the latest eclat magazine, I was being filmed dancing with sarashi (or bleached cotton cloths) that are very long and actually used in the play.
