So comforting. #repost @humanesocietytampabay ・・・ The Humane Society of Tampa Bay is an essential service to the animals and people in our community.⠀ ⠀ Shelter & Intake: We are staying open to accept and adopt animals. Due to COVID-19, we are receiving an influx of animals - owned pets because people can’t afford their care and strays because animals are lost or abandoned. THE ANIMALS NEED US NOW MORE THAN EVER!⠀ ⠀ Animal Hospital: Animals get sick and injured just like people. It is imperative that sick and injured animals receive the medical care that they NEED. Our full-service hospital will remain open to treat the public’s animals.⠀ ⠀ Food Assistance: We are still providing dog and cat food to the public through our food assistance and Animeals programs to help Tampa Bay citizens who are struggling.⠀ ⠀ Action Items: We urge the public to please CONTINUE TO ADOPT from our shelter so that we have enough space to continue to intake animals. When coming to our shelter and animal hospital please be mindful of the new policies we have in place to adhere to the CDC guidelines, the Executive Order issued by the Governor as well as the County Administrator.
