Photo by @estherhorvath | Brooklyn Grange, located on three roofs in New York City, is one of the world’s largest rooftop soil farms. The farm grows over 80,000 pounds of organically cultivated produce per year. The farm also keeps 20 hives on rooftops of New York City buildings, producing hundreds of pounds of honey annually. Depending on the season's floral bloom, bees can fly seven miles to collect nectar from Central Park or the High Line.
