Photo by @paoloverzone | View of the Winter Palace from the frozen Neva River in St. Petersburg, Russia. The baroque-style palace, a key monument in Russian and world history, was designed by Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli and served as the residence of the Russian tsars. In 1917, after the revolution, the Winter Palace became the seat of the provisional government. Today, it’s part of the State Hermitage Museum complex.
