Traditionally as a woman we are told to find a “man” (who has a good job and preferably a house) get married to said man, then have babies. But not straight away... you know after “enough” time to be acceptable but also you can’t wait too long because by 30 you’re already becoming less fertile. These archaic expectations ingrained in society have long weighed on women. I’m grateful that my family let me know I didn’t have to live upto these expectations and I hope all humans can be free to make their own choices in their lives. For those who do dream of conceiving children biologically it doesn’t always “just happen” at the perfect time and it’s not a fairytale that comes easily. That is why as someone privileged enough to conceive naturally and aware that 1 in 4 women have and will experience infertility I wanted to do something to raise awareness and support you.
