While this book makes clear it’s not about excusing wrongdoing, it explores the very curious life-changing instances of perhaps a joke being taken a wrong way, and somebody losing their job as a consequence. ⁣ ⁣ In particular I loved the parts exploring the ‘Right To Be Forgotten’ law, a regulation allowing people to strip their history from being indexed by search engines. ⁣ ⁣ Ronson explores the services who offer this ability privately, by creating thousands of blogs and websites about a person, aiming to bury their past rather than erase it.
