アレーヌ・シャルトランさんのインスタグラム写真 - (アレーヌ・シャルトランInstagram)「A little late getting around to this post - but such is life. Back in November I was thrilled to lead two seminars at opposite borders of British Columbia. I took a flight east to the small town of Fernie to visit a group of skaters for a seminar hosted by the Fernie Skating Club. The following weekend I traveled west, taking the ferry over to Vancouver Island for a seminar at the Juan de Fuca Skating Club. Thinking back on my experiences as a participant at seminars - I was so lucky growing up that my home section of Eastern Ontario hosted one every year with esteemed coaches and skaters. In addition, many of the local clubs would also host their own seminars with special guests. Coming from a small town, I feel it was so important for me to get exposure to a higher level of skating. It helped me be able to see that the skaters I watched on TV were really just normal people who had a dream and that maybe if I worked hard I could get there too one day. Even as I got older, seminars always provided excitement and helped me learn something new. I truly believe that I took something from every seminar I attended and implemented a part of it into my skating afterwards. Now being on the other side, I love being able to be that "normal person who had a dream" at seminars. It's so special to be able to share what I've learned in skating through these opportunities. Thank you to both the Fernie and Juan de Fuca Skating Clubs for having me and being such kind hosts during my visit! 🙏」1月10日 10時57分 - alainechartrand
